HAMILTON, NZ - Receiving a New Zealand Order of Merit for services to philanthropy is a great recognition of what Corporate Services Executive for Gallagher, Margaret Comer, has worked hard to do - building enduring partnerships with the communities we work and play in around the world. Comer has been involved in philanthropic projects for more than 25 years through her work managing Gallagher's sponsorship initiatives.
Gallagher has become a name synonymous with community projects around the world, and it is a brand Comer is proud to be associated with. Over the weekend, Comer lit up students lives of all ages by giving away 500 tickets to the Fifa U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.
"One of the best pleasures I get is knowing the Gallagher family and staff are pleased with the work we do in the community. I think very carefully about where we put our money to get the best results for the company, the people that work here, and the people to whom we provide funding," Comer said.
Sir William Gallagher, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer commented "Margaret very capably handles the philanthropic side of our contribution to society, and this honour is a wonderful and much deserved recognition of Margaret's work in this area."
Gallagher has celebrated over 75 years of providing innovative solutions to agricultural, security and fuel partners around the world. They have more than 1,000 people employed worldwide, and partnerships with customers in more than 100 countries.
