HAMILTON, NEW ZEALAND – With safety and corporate responsibility top of mind, today Gallagher announces that all visitors over the age of 12, and all contactors, will now need to comply with new requirements to access a Gallagher workplace in New Zealand and Australia, and other markets where required.
Access to Gallagher is permitted with either evidence of full vaccination; or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of visiting Gallagher; or a negative Rapid Antigen Test on site prior to entry (where this is available).
CEO & Executive Director Kahl Betham explains the decision is on the back of a global risk assessment, staff survey, and the growing number of companies introducing requirements.
“At Gallagher, we’re committed to reducing the risk of COVID-19 and we’ve always strongly encouraged our people to get vaccinated,” Kahl said. “Our employee survey found we have high vaccination rates across all of our sites so our decision to require contractors and visitors to be subject to entry requirements is one of the measures we’ll be using to keep our people safe.
“We are also committed to strictly adhering to our clients’ vaccination policies and COVID-19 health and safety measures.”
The company will continue to review the policy to ensure it remains relevant and aligned as the COVID-19 situation evolves.
