HAMILTON, NEW ZEALAND – Gallagher today announced that Helen Camilleri has been appointed to the newly created role of Group Executive – People and Brand reporting to Deputy Chief Executive Officer Steve Tucker.
Steve said he was delighted to make the announcement, which he describes as a natural extension of Helen’s extensive skills in brand and communications.
“Helen has been with Gallagher for seven years as Global Brand Manager. Over this time, Helen has been a key champion of our move to the single Gallagher brand, and the bringing to life of our Orange DNA in the eyes of our customers and our staff. The appointment of Helen to this new role is a natural extension of her skills in brand and communications, and we will benefit from the application of these skills to the development of our more than 1,000 people worldwide”.
Helen is excited about the newly formed People and Brand team, she commented, “As Gallagher continues to grow internationally it’s crucial our culture stays connected to its pioneering roots. We have incredibly strong core beliefs and since our people are critical to our continued success, translating those values across borders and business units is key”.
The appointment will see Helen become a member of the Executive Management and have Group responsibility for human resources, health & safety, culture development, operational efficiency and brand.
She will be based at Gallagher’s World Headquarters in Hamilton, New Zealand, and will commence her new role in July 2016.
