Cardax Now Gallagher

5 March, 2011

HAMILTON, NZ - Leading security brand Cardax is changing its name to Gallagher. Cardax has been part of the Gallagher Group for more than a decade. Gallagher Group is one of the largest and most successful private companies in New Zealand, as an exporter of access control and perimeter security systems, animal management, and fuel systems.
Gallagher has made a strategic decision to consolidate its brands across its various business units to a single brand in order to build and leverage the reputation of the Gallagher brand globally across all divisions.
Greg Phillips General Manager of Cardax Australia Pty Ltd (distributor of Cardax access control and intruder alarms systems in Australia) heads up a team of fifteen Technical Account Managers and Business Development Managers who manage and support Gallagher's extensive Channel Partner network. He is now supported by Craig Schutte as Strategic Business Manager of Gallagher perimeter systems.
Mr Phillips says the renaming will benefit all parties. “There are a number of initiatives developed in the access control business which can be introduced to our perimeter Channel Partners and vice versa. The bringing together of our access control and perimeter partners and offering enables Gallagher to deliver a broader solution to Customers with seamless delivery,” says Mr Phillips.
The number of global staff under the orange Gallagher logo is now over one thousand. Sir William Gallagher is Chair and Chief Executive of Gallagher Group. Sir William says the company’s consolidation to a single brand will underpin a unified global security company which delivers a single security platform to Customers. “The opportunity to align the existing access control sales team with the perimeter security team supports the Gallagher vision and leverages our position as a worldwide leader in security platforms.”
