Chief Information Officer
Neville joined Gallagher as Chief Information Officer in 2017, immediately being attracted by the culture, and the opportunity to join an ‘80 year old start up’. His mantra is simple - “IS is so much more than just the technology. It is democratising IT so that all our staff and customers can benefit. Technology must have utility, so we must also drive value in its use.”
Prior to taking his current role, Neville held senior positions at several world class businesses. Before his high profile New Zealand roles, he spent a combined 15 years at two of the world’s top 15 brands, working in the UK, USA, Germany and China. Neville’s status as an eminent business leader, technology evangelist, and agent for change has been nationally recognised with a place on New Zealand’s latest list of top 50 CIOs.
As CIO, Neville oversees Gallagher’s global IS function. By leveraging world class governance and innovative business delivery techniques, he actively sets technology strategy - supporting the company’s growth objectives and driving continuous improvement across the entire organization.
Neville’s priority is ensuring Gallagher remains at the forefront of systems development and a champion of diversity in the workplace. “The pace of change is hectic and will continue to accelerate, so we must find new ways of working, and become a truly data driven enterprise,” he says. “As CIO, it’s important to articulate that digital transformation is a company-wide journey, and so this involves communicating and collaborating at all levels of the business.”
