1993 Yamaha FJ1200abs For Sale

to this web site so they could see the bike. David from Texas
responded that he wanted the bike. He picked it up on June 11th.
The sale price was $5,000

David drove 16 hours from Plano, Texas
to the suburbs of Chicago to pick up the bike.

I purchased this bike in 1997 in perfect condition with 4,200 miles. It now has 6,600 miles. So you can see why I am selling the bike - I don't ride it much and I would rather have someone from the FJ list buy it and ride this great bike. I have a second bike - a Honda 750 Nighthawk and this meets all my riding needs for occasional around town riding. This bike is located at my home in the suburbs of Chicago. The bike has these modifications (several suggested by the FJ mailing list). I am not a mechanic and these were done by my local Yamaha dealer or the previous owner who was an excellent mechanic. Metzeler MEZ-2 tires (under 1,500 miles) The bike is in great shape, always garaged and covered - the exterior paint is close to like new with no visible scrapes or scratches. It runs great too. I paid $5,500 for the bike in 1997 and also added the Metzeler tires, Throttlemeister and springs. Here are some more pictures.
